Work on a section of the Tilenga Industrial Park underway at Kasinyi Village in Buliisa District. This is where the Central Processing Facility will be constructed. As Buliisa District continues experiencing heavy rains resulting in flashfloods affecting people close to the Tilenga project industrial area and the neighbouring community land, TotalEnergies EP Uganda says it is committed to developing a long term solution to the problem. This follows recent complaints from the Tilenga oil project affected persons expressing concern about the flooding due to downpour on the adjacent bare land cleared for the Central Processing Facility (CPF) at Kasinyi village which TotalEnergies attributes to the increased heavy rainfall that the Uganda National Meteorological Authority predicted to be average with a tendency to being enhanced.
